Band Updates/Weekly Newsletters

Hello all 6th, 7th, 8th grade Band Parents!

I hope you are doing well! It is time again for our Weekly Band Updates! We have been working diligently on learning our instruments and learning how to rehearse in an ensemble setting! All three directors are super proud of how much your student has learned and accomplished already!

FOR 7TH/8TH GRADERS ONLY: Some upcoming dates that you need to be aware of is our Halloween Concert, on October 26, @ 6:00 P.M. Your students' report time will be 5:15 P.M. in the Band Hall. Please know that report time means in their chair, instruments together, and ready to warm up AT 5:15 P.M. Therefore, please arrive early enough for your student to do just that. This concert will be in the West Auditorium. Required dress for this is either Concert Black (refer to Handbook for more information) or appropriate Halloween costumes.

FOR 6TH/7TH8TH GRADERS: On December 11, at 1:00 P.M. for our Holiday Extravaganza Concert. Required dress for this is either Concert Black (refer to Handbook for more information) or Christmas-themed clothes.

Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Also, be on the lookout for more emails regarding the concerts and upcoming trips for next semester. If you ever have any questions, you can also refer to the Band website (link posted below), Skyward Updates, and/or Schoology updates.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hello Symphonic Band Parents!
I hope you are doing well! I am emailing everyone a few updates for the upcoming weeks.
We have our second pep rally this week on Thursday, 10/14, at 8:20 A.M.!
This Friday, October 15, is our High School Night where all of the Symphonic Band members come and play with the High School Band in the stands. As I've said in previous emails, this is an awesome opportunity for the kids to see the High School kids in action and get to experience what they will get to do in their High School Band years. **This is a required graded performance and has been on the calendar since the beginning of the year.** Therefore, please make it a huge point to have your student there and on time! Report time is 5:45 P.M. in the Band Hall, ready to warm up with the High School Band so please get them here early enough to get their instruments together.
Required dress: Middle School Band Shirt (will be here next week), jeans (no holes), and closed-toe shoes (no crocs, slip-ons, or sandals).
The game should be done around 10:00 P.M. so please be here to pick up your students around that time.
We are super excited and I can't wait for your students to have so much fun this Friday!! Please email or call if you have any questions or concerns. Be expecting a few more emails this week regarding the MS Band Trip next semester. Thank you!
