• Bonfire Brush Needs: Tonight, Monday, November 3, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 PM, you may drop off brush at the bonfire site. To drive up to the site, please take the ag barn road by Rise Up Fitness. Please note the district does not have the ability to stop by homes and pick up the brush. Please ensure your brush or boards do not have any nails, staples, etc. 
• Bonfire Reminder: The rescheduled bonfire is set for this Wednesday night, November 5, 2025, at 7:00 PM behind the visitor stands at Trojan Field. Please park in the south Trojan Field parking lot and enter through the south home ticket booth. Beat Whitney!
• New Baseball and Softball Scoreboards: Coming soon! The district is working on a plan for interested sponsors to have their company or individual names highlighted on each board. 
• Progress Report 3: Today, Monday, November 3, 2025, the next progress report grading period is ready for review in Skyward Family and Student Access. 
• Thanksgiving Break: Monday, November 24, through Friday, November 28, 2025, are student and staff Thanksgiving holidays. 
• Fan Behavior Policy: With the new basketball season for the Lady Trojans starting up this week, please remember the 89th Legislature and University Interscholastic League (UIL) teamed up to pass Senate Bill (SB) 2929 which allows officials at any UIL athletic events to eject fans without a warning. With the first ejection comes a 30-day suspension from attending any UIL athletic events. If there are three instances of fan ejections within one school year, the UIL may stop officials from working our games. Please attend the games, wear the mighty red and black, cheer on the Trojans and Lady Trojans, and let the officials do their jobs. 
• Bus Drop-off for all PreK-Grade 2 Students: For all Prekindergarten through Grade 2 students, a parent, guardian, or sibling attending West High School must be present at the designated pick up and drop off location. If the parent, guardian, or high school-aged sibling is not present at the designated pick up and drop off location, the student(s) will receive a Bus Referral and possible suspension or removal from the bus. Also, a parent or guardian will be required to pick up the student(s) at the West ISD Transportation Department located at 406 W. Shook Street B (Bus Barn), West, Texas 76691.
• SNAP Benefits Alternative Planning: If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance, please check the McLennan County Food Resources information (listed by day of the week) on the West ISD social media pages. Several organizations across McLennan County and West provide food distributions, meals, and support services to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. As always, the Helping Hands of West is ready to assist and serve our community. Their meal bags will continue to be distributed each week.
