I teach 8th grade ELAR! This is my seventh year teaching, and I am thrilled to also be sponsoring the WMS Builder's Club for the first time this year. I truly enjoy getting to know my students and watching them grow as learners and individuals.
When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy preserving memories by scrapbooking photo albums. My husband and I are excited to be hosting a 10th-grade exchange student from Spain this year, so our house is extra busy! We also have a full home with our puppy, Waffles, and three cats: Mr. Kitty, Mushu Fried Pork, and Wonton.
As an English teacher, it's so difficult to choose just one favorite book! A classic short story I love is Kate Chopin's "Désirée's Baby," which is a haunting tale set in old Louisiana with an unforgettable twist. I also read anything by Francine Rivers, an author who writes incredible historical fiction that brings ancient stories to life with rich characters and powerful emotions.
Being a Trojan means truly feeling like part of a community rich in learning. To me, it’s about our shared commitment to helping every student succeed as we learn to serve our community, achieve great things, inspire those around us, and lead with integrity.
