West ISD Families,

Good evening! First, I would like to begin by thanking everyone for your support in regards to today's Boil Water Notice and our district response plan. All of the students did a great job with utilizing our cases of water bottles throughout the day. I would also like to praise our teachers, staff, and child nutrition team for how quickly they pivoted with the loss of our ice, water fountains, water bottle fillers, and sinks for the entire school day. Also, I would like to thank our maintenance team for their many runs to get more and more water bottles for everyone. 

Next, you have probably heard by now that the Boil Water Notice will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, February 10, 2026, through at least mid-day at noon. Please know our child nutrition team will be ready with both breakfast and lunch for everyone, and the district will have water bottles ready for all students, staff, teachers, and guests. The child nutrition team did ask me to update everyone on tomorrow's menu. With the Boil Water Notice in place, lunch will now be hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and/or chicken sandwiches. Yum!

Again, thank you for your support and patience! I greatly appreciate how we are always able to team-up and help our students get through any challenge that comes our way.
