West ISD Alert: Early Release Plan

Posted Date: 10/01/26 (11:24 AM)

West ISD Alert: With the news from Oncor regarding the timeline for power and phones to be restored, West ISD will hold an Early Release for today, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the following times:

West Elementary School: 12:45 PM
West Middle and High School: 1:00 PM

At these times, the district buses will run and complete all regular daily routes and stops. For car pick-up, please utilize the three, regular campus car loops. Again, if a parent or guardian wishes to checkout their student from school, please go through the campus main office with proper ID. The campus main offices do have a special Go-To cell phone app. Please be patient as our secretaries will be inundated with calls.

Please note all after school programs and activities are canceled. With the bye week for all football games, the calendar is clear of evening events.

All for now! Thank you for your patience and understanding!
D. Truitt, Superintendent
